How much does an Abu Dhabi GP weekend cost?

Abu Dhabi is the calendar's season finale, and pricing reflects it — this isn't the cheapest race weekend on the F1 calendar. The numbers below cover a real full-trip estimate for the standard 4-day (Thursday-Sunday) ticket structure: hotel, food, local transport, and a grandstand ticket.
Typical 4-night trip
US$3,221–US$3,687

Where the money goes
For the Moderate trip above — 3-4 star hotel, mid-tier grandstand ticket.
Getting around, cheaply
Abu Dhabi's public bus network (Hafilat Smart Card) covers getting to Yas Marina Circuit without a car — route 190 runs straight to Yas Island, plus a free Yas Express shuttle operates daily 9am–9pm. On race weekend, ticket holders staying in Dubai get a complimentary shuttle straight to the circuit, and once on-site the Circuit Circular Shuttle covers grandstand-to-grandstand transfers.
A local money-saving trick
This range covers casual dining rather than fine dining — think shawarma counters and mall food courts over white-tablecloth restaurants. Skip sit-down restaurants for grill houses like Lebanese Mill or Automatic, where a full shawarma meal runs roughly AED 30–40 (about $8–11).
What about flights?
Roughly US$278–US$1,186 round-trip, economy, if you're traveling from Europe — this event's largest single fan-travel market for a December season finale.
Flying in from further afield — the Americas, or a longer-haul Asia-Pacific route — costs meaningfully more, and remember AUH isn't your only real option: DXB often carries better fares and more direct routes for many origins, at the cost of a longer ground transfer (see the Getting There guide). Tell the Planner where you're starting from for a real number on your actual route.
