New Zealand tour of Australia 2026
9 December–8 January 2027
Melbourne Cricket Ground (Boxing Day Test) — full series: Perth Stadium (1st Test, 9-13 Dec), Adelaide Oval (2nd Test, 17-21 Dec), MCG (3rd Test, 26-30 Dec), SCG Sydney (4th Test, 4-8 Jan)
Four Tests, four cities — Perth Stadium, Adelaide Oval, the MCG, and the SCG — the first-ever four-Test Trans-Tasman series.
This is the first-ever four-Test Trans-Tasman series between New Zealand and Australia — a genuinely historic scale for a rivalry that's never been given this much room before. New Zealand's first tour of Australia since 2019-20 runs across five weeks, four cities, and roughly 4,300km of internal travel if you follow the whole thing.
Each ground tells a different story. Perth Stadium opens the series as the newest, most purpose-built venue on the tour. Adelaide Oval pairs Test cricket with a cathedral spire in the same sightline. The MCG hosts Boxing Day — the single biggest date on the Southern Hemisphere cricket calendar, full stop. The SCG closes it out with more than 140 years of the sport's own history inside its walls, and a heritage changeroom hospitality experience no other ground on this tour can match.
Everything you need to plan the trip: costs, tickets, where to stay, where to eat, and the detail that only matters once you're actually going.
