—Plan on the MRT, not a walk, to get to the circuit from here — Clarke Quay MRT (North East Line) connects to Raffles Place/City Hall in a few minutes, genuinely faster and more reliable than the 30-40 minute riverside walk, especially leaving a late Padang Stage set.

Chinatown — the value base with real character

—Aurum Royal's central location, opposite an MRT station and food court, makes it the easier logistical pick if luggage or mobility rules out a walk-up building — worth checking its current rating directly before booking, since it carries a real but thin review count.
